Welcome all !
Hello, my name is Madeline Barreto, founder of Capirolandia Group Daycare. I was inspired to start my own daycare after having experience in several schools as a teacher’s aid. In the year of 1998 I had my only daughter whom I wanted to spend time with and teach myself. It was then that I prepared myself to design and open my own daycare. Capirolandia Daycare was the first business open in my area and has been 21 successful years.
Philosophy
Here at Capirolandia Daycare, we believe children grow, learn and thrive by exploring the world around them. It is our goal to provide an environment that engages all age children with developmentally – appropriate activities and materials. In our program, children will feel safe, support as they engage with new ideas and learning through play.
Location
Capirolandia Daycare is located in a private house in the south bronx.
- We’ve designed our daycare environment with play and learning areas that allow children to explore various developmentally – and appropriate activities based on their interests. Some of our favorite areas include sensory areas for awareness and learning through the five senses. Music and movement for physical activity and cultural learning. Dramatic play for self-expression and empathy and many others.
- Children will have outdoor time everyday at the patio and local playground. Connecting with nature is vital to a child’s development, happiness and growth.
- At Capirolandia we want to provide an environment that supports the cognitive, social and emotional growth of every child.
